Dolakha-Sindhupalchwok Rope Way
Dolakha-Sindhupalchwok Rope Way is a rope way conveyor connecting the talc and magnesium mine at Kharidhunga with the processing plant at Lamosanghu in Nepal. It is one of the longest ropeways in Nepal, crossing two districts: Sindhupalchok and Dolakha. The talc plant used to be 3rd largest talc plant in South Asia. The ropeway is 10.3 kilometers (6.4 mi) long.

Ropeway Situated at Tauthali |
It travels through Kharidhunga, Tauthali, Tekanpur and Lamosangu. It was operational in the 1990's, but has since been closed down. The reason behind that was the payment issue of electricity bill at that time. What we can analyze now, the operational cost of this ropeway was quite high due to which it has been closed forever. To replace the rope way for carrying talc and magnesium from Kharidhunga to Lamosangu cheaper means of transportation is used i.e. Roadway.
Dolakha-Sindhupalchwok rope way is in critical condition at the present moment. Government needs to focus on this massive construction whether to protect it as history or to destroy it for eliminating any kinds of injuries to villagers and animals in the future before it gets too late.
